K So I have updated 3-4 times about staying active during my pregnancy. last one was the first of July. I started at 12 weeks with Dr.'s approval (because of previous miscarriages).stopped for 4 weeks (due to bed rest) and started again. I had a thread but due to bed rest I stopped and want to start all fresh.

This thread is mainly for me! but if any other mama's want motivation to stay active and healthy during their pregnancy go ahead and join!

I am 30 weeks. I am going to gently "push" myself through these next 10 weeks. At least continue my regimen for 8 more weeks and then light cardio the last 2 weeks. I was active before pregnancy and during so there are no EXCUSES for me . :) I don't expect to do hardcore workouts. I just mean strength training for my lower body (to help SPD) walks, bike rides, small hikes and 30 minutes worth of DVD Cardio, Its what I have been doing for months. I have already modified workouts to work for my growing belly. :) I also do tons of modifications and stretches for SPD.

My regimen currently is :
Monday- Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Weights 30 min
2-3 mile walk depending on how I feel
Tuesday- Turbo Fire 30 minutes or 3.5 mile walk
Wednesday- P90X Legs& Back workout ( I only do the legs part of it for obvious reasons) and bike ride with my cute lil family
Thursday- J.M Cardio 30 minute circuit
Friday- REST unless I feel up to a walk or hike
Saturday- REST
Sunday- REST

Can you explain the stretches for your SPD, when you do them, how often, etc?
I haven't gotten it yet this pregnancy, but I know I will. I'm currently 16 weeks and walking 5 miles a day. (2 1/2 miles in the morning and 2 1/2 at night)

I will post more stretches when I get back to a computer.
I do them at least 2x a day. I have to do them before I go to bed if I don't want to sleep in the recliner. it only relieves the pain unfortunately. still hasn't made it better but at this point relief is good enough. I was going to a chiropractor every other day to get adjusted now I only go once every month. which helps my hips big time. stretching is what makes the biggest difference. anything that stretches that groin area is going to help. also try doing some strength training for pelvic floor. place a towel between your thighs and squeeze the towel and hold for 15 seconds. I'll post more info asap when I get to computer

Aw thank you Hun! I really have tried so hard to stay as active as possible. TRUST ME I do tons of modifications!! The way you carried your sweet baby boy I don't know if it would have been possible. Seriously. when I do exercise he moves to the front and It is difficult! you are and were tiny your entire pregnancy with just a cute big belly! your legs and arms didn't even change. That is so unfair!

Ya, well maybe when I stop walking like a cowboy I'll start to keep up. I still find it weird how I gained weight. Would have thought it would go all over or straight to my ass, but nope.
I still don't think you would look pregnant from behind.
