I had my 20 week appointment today. They told me that I have a partial placenta previa. Which is why I've had spotting on and off for a while now. They said we will do a repeat ultrasound around 28 weeks to see if the placenta has moved or not. They told me they don't want me lifting anything. I cant do anything strenuous and of course no sex. They were telling me that I shouldn't be lifting my 10 month old either. I understand I need to be careful, but telling me not to pick up my 10 month old is a little unreasonable. I am a SAHM so I typically do everything around the house including pretty much all the care for both kids. I don't really have any family close by that I can ask for help either. How did other moms handle not being able to lift things while having small kids at home?

I'm in the same boat but with an abruption so I really, really can't lift my littles. I just make them come to me.

That would be so scary to have an abruption. I would be a nervous wreck. I am thankful my 10 month old can walk. I just wish she would listen to me when I tell her to come to me.

Ya, my 2 year old doesn't listen either and is very well aware that I can't get up so he really pushes it but fortunately I also have a very helpful 4 and 6 year old who will put/bring him where he needs to be
