Eek. I hope it's not a reaction. But if she said it SHOULD go down and it hasn't after that long, I'd be concerned.

He should be ok. Put a warm wash cloth on his face where he got the shot. There really isn't much you can do for him. Maybe give him some benadryl or Motrin to make him sleep it off.

I'm trying not to freak out but seeing him so out of sorts is putting me in panic mode. Could the ER do anything for him??

They'd probably try Benadryl. Do you have any?

Yeah, this is probably what the ER would tell you. Good advice.

I hope little guy feels better :(

All them damn dentists say it last a couple hours and it always is longer. Every time I've had shots, it's seriously lasted 6+ hours. I think if little dude can hold out and go to bed, he'd be good as new in the morning.

Awe, you're welcome babe!

I know it sucks. You can't talk right, or eat really. You just sit there with a numb lip feeling like a jackass. I hope little dude gets to feeling better soon. :)

It really does suck. I went to school for dental assisting and thry told us that it could take more than 6 hours for the affects of it to wear off because the blood flow needs time to start flowing properly. I would go pick up some benadryl so he can sleep it off.

I just gave him some Motrin and he knocked out again. He is just exhausted, I'm praying he sleeps through the night and feels better in the morning.
