It sounds like an allergic reaction. Is it his first filling? He can be allergic to the stuff that is the actual filling as well as the meds to numb it.



Try giving him some Benadryl and icing it. You an do Tylenol or Ibproufen for pain too. Poor dude. :(

I have no idea. We were told in school to tell patients that it could last up to 6 hours. I never worked in a dentists office but I'm sure all of them have their own after care instructions and some dont think its a big deal I guess. Good luck i hope he's feeling better in the am!!

Yeah this is his first, I'm thinking he is allergic to the novacaine as well.

:( no fun. Try Benadryl and if it gets bigger go in if its stays the same or shrinks call the dentist first thing.



I hope he feels better soon
