I posted the other day saying i had brown discharge starting 11 days ago which lasted 5 days then 3 days ago i had pink discharge. Went to the docs and they sed they would book me a scan for tuesday. Then ladt night i got bright red bleeding. No extreme cramping or very heavy loss but mostly when i go for a wee it comes out. I went to a&e last night as advised by a nurse and the doctor sed i will have yo wait for the scan to see. Woke up this morning still bleeding but not really heavy. Just wanted to ask has anyone ever had this type of bleeding and everything ended up being ok? Just need advice from people who have gone through something like this. Im fully prepared fir the worst because i dont want to fool myself into thinking it will be ok uuntil i see it is for myself. Can anyone give me any insight? X

This sounds very similar to when I had my miscarriage, but I have definitely heard of ladies having moderate bleeding and going on to have a successful pregnancy. I think you are being smart by preparing yourself for the worst. Don't lose hope though and know there is nothing you could do to change whatever fate is to come. Good luck. :)

Thanks so much for the reply :). Does it usually take this long to miscarry tho. Cause if its going to happen i wish it would just happen you know :(

Honestly, I want to say it took me a little over a week for the entire process to complete.. The bleeding got progressively worse and eventually I started having labor like contractions.

Its been nearly 2 weeks for me now. Cant wait for the scan. Il post when ive had the scan when i know for sure. They say the chance of misscarraige decrease greatly when the heartbeat has been seen.

Definitely, I think if you have a good scan you can breath a huge sigh of relief. Sorry you have to wait so long for it. Sucks

I had bleeding wit my first pregnancy. And my son is now almost 2. I had a lot of complications with him though. But nevertheless, he is perfectly healthy.

Best of Luck!!!

I had a MC but I didn't even know I was pregnant at the time. My dh was the one who was like you've been having your period for over 2 weeks. So I took a test because I kind of thought that's what may have happened. It was positive. Went to the ER and had it confirmed, the bleeding lasted for like another week so a little over 3 weeks.

I was told bleeding with a mc could last up to 6 weeks sometimes.

I will keep that in mind. Wish they would have just done a scan lastnight

I had bleeding from 7-11 weeks..i'm currently 37 weeks now and everything is perfect :). It was moderate bleeding, red and sometimes brown, only enough to wear a liner and it was there when I wiped. (I had a few clots also.) Turns out I had a clot behind where the baby implanted..sometimes it just goes away on it's own and other times it bleeds out. The risks of mc go down a LOT when you hear the heart beat but it's still something to be prepared for.
Good luck with your ultrasound :)

Reasurring to know someone went through this too. Yea my bleeding is just enough to wear a pad but not enough to soak it completely. Im wieried tho cus i have a very dull ache in my back but it cpuld be cause i needed the toilet and im too scared to go because last time iwent is when the red blood started. I asked the doctor last night if it was from straining but he sed no. But im convinced it is.

You could have a pocket of blood between your cervix and uterus too. A hematoma. I've seen a few too. I'm hoping for your sake its not a mc and possibly something else.

I'm surprised they didn't do a scan when you went in. Here they do it ASAP even if you have one scheduled.
