Just because there wasn't substantial evidence does not mean she was "innocent". And no a female office worker would not be able to pat her down because they aren't trained to.

You really aren't understanding what I'm trying to say -__-
Good job though.

She could have easily done it herself and saved herself the "trauma", if she hadn't been non-compliant. They were following protocol. I was arrested when I was 14, and I had to remove my bra when I went in for booking. It's pretty much standard, and if you don't comply and do it yourself, then they will remove it for you. If there was no female officer available, then she should've just taken it off herself. (which is what should have been done to begin with).

Well I'm super glad you can dictate others feelings. I guess i should also be ok with rape play because some survivors use it as coping mechanisms.

Btw, i could hang myself with a shirt, maybe we should make every just strip completely naked if that's what they're so scared of.

I really don't see why you had to turn this into a rape debate FFS.
Strong sexual undertones, ok. But to appeal to emotion so drastically and accuse people who don't agree with you as insensitive toward rape victims?
This debate got completely carried away, it's pretty ridiculous.

:!:
If someone requests a female officer they are supposed to get you one. They violated that woman.

Most of saskatchewan consists of tiny towns and a lot of them don't have female police officers.

It would probably be easier to hang yourself by your panties, just saying... So they should probably remove those by force too.

Okay, so here's what I'm catching.

You've been arrested a couple times, and apparently have no respect for police authority. So, regardless of how intelligent, informed, and thorough someone in this debate is, they will still be wrong because they are daring to side with the big meanies, aka police. Who, btw, were just doing their job.

Now, did I follow all of that?

I believe in this case they had one, but decided to do it forcibly. I think thats where people get uncomfortable.
I do think she was non compliant because she felt she did nothing wrong.

Imagine you aren't guilty of a crime and you know it, and people come and arrest you and do things to you that are unfamiliar and just to you seems insulting.

If I got arrested for something I didn't do you think I'd wanna take off my bra on top of that in front of male officers when I know I didn't commit a crime?

edit**

You are ridiculous. My SO is an officer, thank you for that assumption though.

I'd be eager to prove my innocence.
Not make it difficult by being noncompliant.

This is something I do not understand.

Why do some people think we should be found guilty until proven innocent? Should we not be innocent until proven guilty?... Why should innocent people be treated like shit because they are assumed to be guilty?

Now this isn't in all cases, of course. But seriously, that woman was completely innocent and she was stripped of her rights because she was in the wrong place wrong time. Why is that okay?
