so its almost 1 am... im soooooo bored... 39 weeks pregnant with my first. my sleep schedule has been doing something funky the last 2 weeks. week 37 i couldnt get enough sleep. i was sleeping 18-20 hours per day only waking up long enough to pee and grab a bite to eat. then at 38 weeks the sleep schedule changed over night. suddenly i couldnt seem to sleep longer than 3 hours then be wide awake for the rest of the day/night no matter how long i just laid in the bed, in the dark, and in the quiet. ive even tried night time sleep aids but i only sleep an hour or so but not more than 3 hours at a time. i turn 39 weeks today (technically) and im still not sleeping. no energy for anything at all. the house desperately needs to be cleaned but the desire just isnt there. no signs of my little one coming anytime soon so now im just bored and feel exhausted all the time... anyone have any ideas how to get my energy back up?

Here here girl. I can't sleep worth poo and I'm exhausted as well. We cleaned a bunch today but mean it was torture. Only thing I can think of to feel better is have the baby haha. Hopefully soon for us! I haven't had any contractions or anything either. It's a bit disheartening.

at least im not the only one lol. my LO's room is the only room in the whole house that is clean. DH is on a new night schedule at work so he sleeps days. needless to say he isnt much help in the cleaning dept. lol. he tries to help when he can but the new schedule leaves him completely wiped out by the time he gets home. i dont mind cleaning by myself im just too drained of energy to do anything and for no good reason.

im in the same boat about LO not making an appearance already. my cervix is getting ready and shows progress each week but the rest om my body is like nooooooo way jose not today lol

isnt it exciting to be counting down the days at this point instead of counting up the weeks?!?!?!?! i know DH and I are ecstatic. DH is already talking about toys and pools for next summer and our little guy is still baking lol. he pokes my belly every morning when he gets home and tells his little bear daddy is home and he can come out now :D

Awww how sweet.

I have a DR appt in the morning, I'm going to ask him to sweep my membranes. It helped jump start my labor with DD1. I'm pretty sure I'm at like 3cm so I'm slowly but surely getting there. He wants to induce on the 25th if she doesn't come by then... on one hand I don't want to induce, but on the other I'm scared she'll be big (DD1 was a hair off 9lbs and I had trouble actually getting her out)... plus shallow but I REALLY don't want an August baby hahaha

are you going to ask to get your membranes stripped to try and get things moving along? i know i am thats for sure. i want to avoid an induction as much as possible. and the pain from L&D will all be forgotten once you hold your little guy for the first time:D

LOL ive done A TON of research and asked a TON of questions myself. a membrane sweep is where the doctor separates part of the amniotic sac from the opening of the cervix. some people say it hurts. some say its uncomfortable. and some say they didnt feel a thing so the pain scale is up to you. its suppose to help give labor a jump start. ive heard of a few people that get it done and go into labor the same day and a few people get it done 3+ times and still not go into labor on their own.
you can read what others have asked or said about it if you type "membrane sweep" or "sweeping membranes" in the search bar at the top of baby gaga. or just google it.
