I got my period on the 12th of this month, and I just ended it. Or enough to start BD, lol.
Me and SO just went to Wal-Mart to get vitamins, and I got Prenatals with Folic Acid, and then a bottle of Folic Acid.
So my question is, is it okay to take 1600 MG of folic acid a day? Or should I take the prenatal in the morning, and then the folic acid at night?
I hope taking these helps! :)
Also, would you recommend taking any thing else?
Prenatal vitamins should have the right amount of folic acid in if already.
My midwife told me to just take a vitamin that contains folic acid. She never said anything else. But she did say I could try drinking red raspberry leaf tea until I get a positive test then stop and restart in my 3rd trimester.
Extra folic acid would be better though?
I've also heard eating an avocado a day
The good thing about folic acid is you can't ever have too much of it. It won't hurt to take an extra dosage!

Did a doctor tell you that? I've never heard extra was better before lol.
Whatever is in the prenatals should be plenty. Extra folic acid isn't going to provide any extra benefit or make it easier to try and conceive or anything. So really it would just be a waste if you take more than your body needs.
I watched some british lady on youtube talk about certain foods to eat. she mentioned 2 eggs a day, orange fruits and veggies such as carrots and cantaloupe, avoid acidic food like citrus fruits during ovulation. and No tap water.
I ate 2 eggs a day this month and I got pregnant..im also taking prenatal with folic acid..no idea if it helped. but there ya go!
If you're looking into vitamins that may enhance women's fertility educate yourself on Soy Isoflavens and Vitex!
Could SO take folic acid also?
