What should I have the invites say? Because no one will be invited to the ceremony since we are getting married at the courthouse. But everyone is invited to the reception.

You could say something like " Please join us for a reception to celebrate the unity of __________ & _________"

I worked at Office Max for a few years, and they were pretty reasonable if you just want to send it to get done and not worry about the work of making them.

You can go to AC Moore or Target and pick out the blank invitations and send them to Omax and hey do the typing, printing and layout.

So should I put what my married name will be then? Or still use my maiden name?

If you're taking your husband's name, I would put your married name so that it's clear that you were already married. JMO

True..but we aren't getting married until like the week of the reception. Hmm...I don't want to confuse people either lol. Maybe I could put another little printed note in the invites saying that we are having a private ceremony, so people are only invited to the reception?

Then do your maiden name but I don't think you need to say you're having a private ceremony if you word it right.
