so i just started pharmacy tech school last night...dear jesus im so glad its only a 15 week course. my first homework assignment was reading 157 pages of nothing but boredem. 90 questions that had to be answered. and to look over about 6 pages of notes because we have our first test tomorrow. ughhhh! this is so overwhelming...but im so proud of myself for making my first step into the medical field!

lol...its break time missy..i have been at it all day. my girls have been amazing with it. if they see my book out, they start shhh'ing each other lol. i took them to the park for 2 hours. while they played, i worked. alot of the notes im familiar with. it was simple math (adding/subtracting decimals) and knowing roman numerals (adding those as well). We also learned the abbreviations of pharmacy talk..it was fun learning it! Alot of it seems very interesting. but the reading kills me...its just not a interesting subject to read lol

I always hate to break it to people but pharm techs don't require school, all you have to do is the buy the book, read it, take the test and pass it. Wa-la Pharmacy tech. Beats paying several thousand dollars for unnecessary school.

Yep, I stand corrected. Two hours of sleep on their child's bedroom floor, followed by 4hours of math class will do that to a person.

In South Carolina it's hard getting a job without some school training. I have a lot of friends already in the field, as well as some of my fiancee' family. I haven't been in school for years, so I feel like I need some one on one help once in awhile, especially when it comes to math. (Always my weak point in school) It's only twice a week, 3.5 hours per class, and 15 weeks i'll be done. I only had to pay $1, 200. Not including the gas it'll cost going. So I don't think it's that bad. I'll get my money back in my first month of working. I don't need to work...me and SO are perfectly fine. But our kiddos are about to all be in school and I don't wanna be bored sitting around the house all the time lol.
