Good;) the tech told me its like super common. She said she sees at least a dozen a day and it almost always moves higher. As long as it isnt covering any of your cervix it isnt a huge cobcearn .i drove myself crazy reading up on it and it turned out fine lol

Quoting alex and abbi's mom:" u arent haveing contractions hun....ive had some bad cramps that make it very hard to walk with this ... [snip!] ... that over a day ur baby would most likely already be here, contractions only have during labor, when u are about to give birth"

actually you can def have contractions when you arent about to give birth and DONT cause you to dilate. They just arent as strong. I've gone to labor and delivery with both of my previous pregnancies with contractions that are showing up on the monitor but not causing dilation and i didnt have my babies for another week or so. its especially common to have lots of braxton hicks contractions in subsequent pregnancies

Same here! With my second, I started getting contractions- they were even painful- sometimes even 4 mins apart.. That didn't dilate me, starting at like 34/35weeks and I didn't have him until 38 1/2wks

With my second I had an "irritable uterus" that caused me to have uncomfortable contractions pretty much constantly from about 32 weeks on and I didn't have her until 39 weeks. I'm not sure if it's the irritable uterus thing starting again with this one...maybe it's just starting earlier since this is my 4th.

my sister just had her third and she said she had painful BH contractions starting at like 28 weeks and had them weekly until she finally had her at 39 weeks.

No not covering the cervix just close to it, I had been googling it and had to stop myself because I didn't like what I was reading. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

Quoting mamadebs:" Has anyone else been experiencing contractions already? Not braxton hicks- but actual uncomfortable like ... [snip!] ... (I'm 21 weeks today). I'm not too concerned since they are so infrequent, but is it something I should call my midwife about?"

I haven't had any real contractions. I'm 23 weeks today and last night I felt this funny feeling in my back last night. My hunny said it was probably Braxton-Hicks. So I read up on it and it said it's common already..as long as I'm not feeling it in the abdominal area and bleeding then it's ok. Hope you feel better@!
