Then they'll have to arrest a lot of people here. Maybe sue the descendants of those who were Confederates, confiscate the flags I see on graves here, etc.

It's ridiculous.

Yeah that's not okay. It's not okay to mock stereotypes and it certainly has no place in a school. :/

Agreed. Wearing the confederate flag wasn't the best decision, but its not illegal and wasn't malicious.

I don't understand why the Confederate flag is such a big deal :? It's a damn flag, a piece of our history. We learn about it in school. f**king stupid.

That's not what they're mad about. It was all good until someone wore a confederate flag.

And I think that's stupid, it should've never happened to begin with. It's the same thing as having a "ghetto day" and being fine with it until someone carries a fake gun or does a blackface or some shit. It's still racist and spreading hatred based on stereotypes.

I get the negative connotations behind it. I just don't understand why it's fine to mock one group and then call in the Feds with another. There are much more important things going on...

People take shit too seriously, and the Confederate flag is so often abused it's disgusting. Nobody would have given a flying fart in space about this 20 years ago. If they're going to get onto a bunch of school kids about a "Redneck Day" then when are people going to get on Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane about "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" which mock stereotypes in every episode? Our society is becoming way too goddamned sensitive.

Quoting Bob Loblaw _tko_:" Television shows are not public school sponsored events. That's the difference.

I wanna know hat you find so offensive about the Confederate flag. Personally, I think if people can wear their flags, then I should be allowed to wear mine because it's a symbol of heritage, not hate.

No, but no one says anything about honey boo boo, but they decided not to air that flavor flav show with all his baby mamas because it perpetuated negative stereotypes about black people. Double-standard, much?
