Just had baby number 4. SO and I both agree that 2 boys and 2 girls are perfect and we are done.

But why do I think that "we might" have another baby years from now? I just feel sad seeing my NB and thinking this is the last time I will get a baby this tiny and cute and soft and sweet. SO is planning on a vasectomy whenever he decides to do the paper work needed for his insurance through work.

I was thinking of mirena but I'm so worried about the side effects and risks. The pill makes me a raging b***h and I suck at taking it. We have condoms and they would work if we used them right. But I just have a feeling SO isn't gonna get this done for a while. I've been telling him since I got pregnant that he needs to get it goin so he can get snipped.

If I had enough money.... I'd have 10 kids. Anyway.... Point of this post is unknown.
Just hav to say I'm addicted to pregnancy and newborns...

I am too. If I had my way I would have 8.... the only thing stopping me is I can't imagine having 8 c-sections

Well, I know how you feel except I will have 4 boys once this one gets here. I really want a little girl but I know our finances and my health would not allow it. My DH is getting fixed sometime in the next couple of months before I have the baby so there won't even be a possibility of an oops(unless his vasectomy fails) in the future. I have mentioned to him that maybe years down the road like when the baby is in first grade that he can get it reversed and we can have another one. All I get out of him is "Yeah" but I know I'm dreaming and he'll ever go for it.

I have this same problem. DH just agreed on number 3 and he says it's absolutely the last one and I said that was fine but we are only 24. We could very well change our minds in 5 years or something. Idk I don't feel like ill be able to say I'm absolutely done until I physically can't have more. I also love pregnancy and newborns. I'd have 10 too. Sigh.

Why not get paragard IUD? It has no hormones and is good up to 10 years I believe.

I feel the exact same way! I have three girls - my youngest will be a year on the 6th of August. :-( My husband was supposed to get snipped TWICE (had appointments and everything - 1st he was sick and coughing to much, 2nd time he canceled b/c he seen how upset I was!) I'll take them as signs. I'm 29, and I had originally set myself a goal of being done by 30 - but now my goal changed to 35.... to have one more.... if I decide to choose that route!

I have rediculous heavy periods. The OB said it's best to go for mirena if I decide to do an IUD because the paragarud can make them worse.

I have 3, my youngest is 5 months and they are all boys. I don't want more kids at all right now, not even looking down the road. BUT, I'm 23, we have no girls (DH wants one but I don't) and when he finishes school our whole lives will change money-wise... So I got Mirena instead of tying my tubes and DH will die before having a vasectomy so more children, possibly a daughter, is a possibility in our future. I'm definitely not a mom that wants a lot of children though, three was really more than I have ever said I wanted. I enjoy pregnancy and birth but I don't want more kids lol...

Honestly if its the financial aspect he is worried about, its not going to change all that much from 3 to 4 :)

You shouldn't try to make any logical decisions about the number of kids you want until your littlest isn't so little. :) It took me about 6 months before I could even consider not having another baby after my youngest. As he's gotten older, I've begun to be able to see that there is life outside of babies and breastfeeding, etc. Don't get me wrong, I still have days where I think having another baby might be awesome, but they are getting fewer and further between. ;)
