I am having a scheduled c -section on the 31rst at 11:30am, I need to be at the hospital at 9:30am. I was told by the nurse that I cannot have anything to eat past midnight of the night before. I dont know about you guys but I dont think I can make it 12 hours without eating without getting all shaky and feeling like I am going to faint, any tips out there?

eat lots the night before & a good snack if you're up late. You wont be thinking about food.

I couldn't eat past midnight and my c-sec wasn't scheduled until 4:30 pm. It was terrible. I was a raging bitch because of it, but I survived. I think you will too

I would of thought that they would schedule me at an earlier time! I know I can make it, but I just dont want to start getting shaky because I havent eaten...I was just thinking of showing up a little earlier at the hospital, I need to be there by 9:30am, So I was thinking maybe 9am just in case I dont start feeling too well, I'll know I'll be in good hands :)

I literally did. We had to be there at 9 but didn't get into surgery unitl 1. I'm sure I was hungry but I don't remember feeling it or thinking about it. You will be fine. Good luck and CONGRATS!!

Promise you don't want to eat. I was so sick after and it was the best to have nothing to throw up..

I wouldn't eat anything, but I'd have some clear liquids before leaving. Like some apple juice. If your scheduled for 11:30 your body will be finished with the AJ. of course, don't tell anyone.

That's how I felt. And I don't handle hunger well at all. But I was too busy to think about food.

I had to do it for my scheduled c-section with my second child. It sucks, but you'll make it. Just eat a HUGE meal right before midnight--something with a lot of starches to fill up on for awhile.
Good luck!
