I have a inheritance check that is in my daughter's name. Can I deposit it into my savings or checking account?

I plan to redeposit a majority of it, I am just going to take a couple hundred for a bedroom set for her. TIA!

I think you will have to open a savings account in her name and deposit it in that.

My parents always put my checks in their accounts.

Yes you can withdraw from it. When I set up my LOs account I brought in his detailed birth certificate which has mine and SOs name listed as the parents.

You can deposit it into your account. My Parents write checks for my Kids on every Birthday and Christmas, in their name and I deposit them in my account.

She's 4. She has a different last name, but the check has my last name on it.

There is no harm going down to the bank and asking them.

You can put it in your own account but I would personally open a savings account for her and you can put your self on the account as well. Just take out what your need but leave the rest in there.

Cool thanks ladies. I guess I was thinking it would be more difficult than that.
