Since I got home from the hospital I've benn taking 3 fenugreek3 times a day. Eating oatmeal at least once a day and drinkig a few glasses of mothers milk tea. I still make nothing ! Feel like I'm making less than I was a week ago. I cannot satisfy my baby. He is crying and frantically trying to suck and cries more. Idk what to do. I can't pump because the baby is on a tit at all times unless input him down so I can pee. Maybe a total if 30 mins has he NOT been on the breast. I feel so sad! I gave him some formula, we were both frustrated and he seemed alot better after. But I Can't help to feel so defeated. I swore I wouldn't give formulA and would do anything and everything to make lots of milk from the get go and my body sucks. I swear only one tit works... I'm just desperate... I'd do anything at this point to get an oversupply.

So what worked for you??? I've heard ovultine helps? Should I drink more water ? I drink 120-150 oz a day us that enough?

You could try lactation cookies.

Have you seen an LC yet? I really recommend it, if you haven't.

Could you get a SNS? So even if you do have to supplement, he can still be at breast? Would you consider donor milk? I really really really recommend you see a lactation consultant ASAP. You can have him weighed before and after you feed him to see how much he is getting.

Just taking fenugreek never worked for me, zi had to add in vitex (chaste berry or whatever the other name for it is), stinging nettle and blessed thistle in order to actually get a good boost to my supply.... There is also Dill and marshmallow that you can take too to boost supply. Some women have to take a concoction of supplements and not just one for it to work.

Try the lactation cookies too.

I have an appt tomorrow to see one.

I noticed e will eat from one side pretty well and then the other side with the smaller supply he fusses and pulls on it and unlatches and relatches and it kills my nips. He also won't really suck hard from that side unless I'm more full of milk from sleeping at night. I will put him on the other side and he will actually suck hard enough to eat and stuff.

It usually isn't about which breata they are on. It's about THEIR position. My daughter would only latch and nurse well as a newb when she was on her right side so I had to hold her football style on my right breast and cradle hold on the left. They don't care about what great it is normally its about their position so try that.

Also, the matching and pulling off and screaming and relatching sounds like cluster feeding. And it's normal. He's telling your breasts to make more milk. Every time he latches, unlatches, sucks, bites, nuzzles, whatever your breasts he is triggering more milk production. So keep him there as long as he wants to be there. Formula is only going to hurt your supply.
It sounds like you're getting plenty of water, are you getting enough calories??
