Quoting ☮Hippie Jesus☮:" He's been a co-sleeper since he was born... and he's almost 4 years old. Lately, I've just been letting ... [snip!] ... He seriously will not lay down anywhere unless someone is with him... and I can't be laying in a toddler bed, now can I?"
Is there anyway you could make a pallet near your bed or put a mattress next to your bed? We had to do that with my nephew who was about the same age when he stopped co-sleeping. Eventually he got used to sleeping in a bed by himself, and then she transitioned him to another room.
my daughter likes me to lie with her in her bed till she falls asleep , so I bought a double bed for her lol
for some reason she doesn't like going to sleep alone , im sure I will pay for this later but for the moment im quiet happy to do it
oh and she is almost 6 lol
My LO has a bed at the foot of our bed. He almost never sleeps in it (we're big on cuddles and my DH works a ton so the only time he ever gets to snuggle with LO is when we're sleeping) but sometimes he just decided to sleep there. Maybe that?
We redid our sons room completely to a "big boy room" and recently upgraded his bed again(complete with memory foam mattress topper like ours lol)..we made it a big deal. He picks out his own bedding, ect. He still comes to our bed at like 4am most nights but we are ok with that if he goes right back to sleep.
I have found that getting him to bed in his room is key, if he wakes up in there after we sneek him in there he gets super upset and wont go back to bed. Do whatever you have to in order to make him comfortable and get and stick with a routine!
