My 14 month old HATES wearing shoes. He hates it. I have bought over 10 pairs. Sandals, sneakers etc. they are not tight on him. It's a bit loose. How do I get him to like shoes?? He can't be out barefoot in the park.

Maybe get him some toddler pediped shoes... it is tough on their feed to wear hard sole shoes, both of my kids were the same way.

Give it time. my kids hate shoes so they dont wear them unless we are out.My two year old would huss and fuss but after a while he would get over it and stop trying to take them off.

I know what you're going through! What finally worked was these Nike sandals. They are black neoprene, and he loves them. They were pricey, but worth it!

He has a tantrum when we put it on. He would do ANYTHING to get it off. He won't forget about it. You can't even distract him after its on.

I'm going to get these to try. How much are they around? You can get him to wear anything after those sandals?

My daughter has never been that way. There's almost nothing in the world she loves more than shoes, lol. But I used to babysit my little cousin, and she HATED shoes for the longest time. She eventually grew out of throwing fits over it, and would put up with them, although even now, at 12 years old, she prefers to go without them. Basically, we always just let her go barefoot around the house, and we'd let her take them off in the car, but we made it clear that if she was going outside or to a public place (restaurant, grocery store, etc), she had to wear them. It may take a while to get past the struggle, but I'm sure he'll eventually give up the struggle; as long as you don't give in.

Dd will only wear the shoes that she picks out. So I always line up all her shoes and when it's time to go I ask her to pick out a pair! It's kind if like our little game
