"
Devastating Reenactment Of What Could Happen If A Child Is Left In A Car "

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/19/kids-left-in-cars-psa_n_3623597.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000009

For those that don't have the time to watch it all, it's a reanacment of a mother leaving her toddler in a car to go food shopping. People walked by the car, didn't notice, another looked in and heard the child crying - but did nothing. Finally, one man saw the child asleep in the back, and bashed the window in and possibly saved his life.

My question to you ladies, what would you do? If you saw a child alone, in a car. Would you take the time to go into the store and tell someone? Or say f**k it and bash that window in to save them?

I would bash that window in. Taking the time to walk into the store or wait for the cops is a minute that child's life could be slipping away.

I remember a few weeks ago, I saw an infant carrier in a car and my ass ran over to that car to make sure there was no baby in it. Thankfully, there wasn't.

This video had me in tears and left such a sick feeling in my gut. I couldn't imagine this happening, to any child.

I've seen this video and legit bawled. I cannot fathom someone leaving their baby in a car. I wouldn't hesitate to bust someone's window out if I seen a baby in the car.

It was hard to watch. I think I would bash the window in!!
If it was a winter day, I would go into the store, and get customer service to announce on the intercom

Me too. I just imagine it being DS, or another child I know. People wonder why I am such a freak when it comes to other people watching my child. I call every 30 minutes when he is with someone else. I'm always terrified someone would forget he is there.

I would smash the windows. The Vancouver police department actually issued a statemt telling people to smash the windows.

If the child was awake, I would go into the store and have someone else wait. If it's winder or summer - if I see a child asleep and alone in the back seat of a car, locked - I'll get a crowbar and bash that shit in.

I can't even watch that. I saw the paused frame and it already made me sick.

Smart of them to do so! Soooo many people wouldn't know what to do if they were put into this situation.

they run the risk of hypothermia when its cold.
I bust the window out no matter what period. i'd also have 911 on my phone at the same time.

Call 911, report that there is a child or animal left unattended in a vehicle and say that you are breaking the window in order to rescue them, then keep them on the line until help arrives.

I would dial 911 to tell them there was a baby in the car and I was breaking the window. That way there would be an ambulance on the way for the poor kid and I could get him our of the car. I will never understand how you could forget to get your kid out of the car.

If I see a child unattended in car with the heat like this, I'm going to stand there for about 2 minutes, before I call the cops. If the cops aren't there in 5 minutes, I'm breaking the window and facing criminal charges for vandalism. I would do the same thing for animal though...

I was scared to watch it at first, but I'm glad I did. It made me sooo much more aware of how easily it can happen. Well., not so much 'easily" but it made me realize how us mom's can get caught up in something we are doing and from being sleep deprived - horrible shit can happen. It was an eye opener for me to ALAWYS continue to be aware.

I've seen so many of these skits, everyone reacts so different to this !!! I won't even go get gas without my credit card anymore because I refuse to leave her in the car to give the man the money , and I'm not doing all the work to take her in and out so I always use my credit card lol ! It's soo unbelievable how someone can leave a baby or child in a car alone , especially in the heat or cold weather , sickening

if the kid was asleep I wouldn't hesitate.
But if the kid was awake *during winter* I would get someone to go into the store and I would stay,
but if it was summer, and I was sweating, I would bash it open!
