Other than any medical necessities... how long were you in the hospital after you gave birth? With each birth?

For my first I was discharged 2 days after.

I've heard women leaving as soon as 9 hours after birth.

Three days. Most boring three days of my life. Except for the food part. I wanted to stay for the food, lol.

First- after 2 days (it was their policy for Vaginal births with no complications)
Second- 3 days ( I had bleeding and they were having a hard time controlling it)
Third- about 24 hrs later.

With my oldest son and my daughter, I was in the hospital about a day and a half. With my three year old son, I was in for three days because I had an emergency c-section. With my three month old son, I had a home birth.

I wouldn't of wanted to leave any sooner than 2 days, expessially being in the hospital by myself, the nurses helped me so much while I recovered too.

Wow! 6 hours! That's crazy to me. lol. But I guess if that's what she wanted then hey! Haha. I definitely needed that two days to recuperate.

I completely understand on that one. I was a single at the time and it was rough even with all the family support I had.

Those 2 days really helped.

Less than 24 hours and that was with an extremely bad infection. Short of tying me down there was anything anyone could have done yo keep me in that hospital.
