I gurss tonight is just one of my off nights... I just feel kind of taken advantage of today. I'm so exhausted, dh tells me every day that he wouldn't mind getting up and giving ds a bottle here and there (he's breastfed and gets maybe a bottle a day??) but he still has yet to take the baby for an hour or so to let me lay down and take me a nap or whatever.. so I'm alwayd up with the baby, feeding him, changing all of his diapers... basically only time he takes him is if I make him. Then he expects me when he gets home to fix him something to eat and drink, he expects ME to do any cleaning... kinda makes me feel taken advantage of. And every single time I've ever tried saying anything, he always gets defensive... "I work all day, and you expect me to work and help you clean house??" or "fine, don't worry about it! I'll just come home every night and clean instead of spending time with you!" Lije dude wtf?! I ask for help and its always excuses or defensiveness. We don't communicate very well, obviously. I get tired of wondering if I'm going to piss him off by asking for help or telling him how I feel. (And he wonders why I don't tell him what is bothering me... smh)

Tell him you didn't create your kid on your own man up and help. I would go bat shit crazy if DH was like that he always helps.

I've tried that approach. He always uses that same lame ass excuse that he's tired. Well hell, so am I.

Girl I feel your pain. I'm telling you, we must have the same type of DH. Lol. All that happens with your DH my DH has done at one time or is doing to me. Idk why guys seem to think that just bc we are stay at home moms, it means we aren't equally exhausted taking care of the house and kid(s)?

Ikr. He drives me nuts and every time he uses that excuse I ask him whether I should be exhausted or not, seeing that I'm up every few hours feeding the baby and also have low iron on top of that. Though today I actually have a little energy, while I could still lay down and go back to sleep lol

Yeah no doubt! You have every right to be just as exhausted! I wouldn't let him get away with that excuse. Lol. Knowing my hormones right now, I'd probably smack my Dh and tell him to get over it. Haha. Not really though. I'm not THAT mean.....yet.

I have been tempted to lol. Especially when I have one of my spells of depression. I have them randomly, unfortunately.
