Quoting [Gryffinwhore♥]:" That's the best description I have. I kept making this low, moaning sound. Really awful and embarrassing. Super guttural sounding."

Haha nice. I never got to that point.

I saw a post like that the other day... she had one ultrasound in the beginning and others for something else and so she got an earlier one that showed the sex but it wasnt conclusive but couldnt have any more ultrasounds for sex screening... she basically used hers up or something. She was wanting to make up an excuse to get one... Im like... wtf, really? Be like me who had to get one basically every time since I bled and had contractions the entire pregnancy and you'd just be glad your child is healthy.

I know someone who did that a few times during her pregnancy. She would lie and make up excuses like "I'm having a lot of pain" or "I'm not feeling the baby move much" to go to the hospital and get an ultrasound when she knew there was nothing wrong.

Pushing lol. I stalled at 6. I had some gnarly contractions after my water broke but I just laid there and closed my eyes and tried to breathe. I asked my mom to just please don't talk at the moment, and she kept talking so my husband kicked her out. lol

I got to the hospital at 1cm and was just kind of moaning and they sent me home after an hour... 3 hours later I was back at 8cm and I screamed at the doctor when she told me I couldn't get the shot  My sister said she could hear me cursing down the hall. I feel really bad for any mothers I might have scared

idgi. I went to the ER twice for heavy bleeding and they gave me an u/s but muted it so I couldn't hear the heartbeat, wouldn't even tell me if there WAS a heartbeat, and I definitely didn't get to see the screen or get a printout of the pictures.

the alternative is even worse. The ones that come in saying I haven't felt movement in days (yet you can see her belly moving as she's being wheeled in) and things don't add up. Those ladies are usually the ones that have done something they shouldn't have and then thought better of it and thought the baby might not be ok after the fact (ie drug use, spousal abuse etc). They lie about what happened to get checked out thinking we don't need to know the details. If its something more serious then I haven't felt baby move in 2 hours... oh look baby is active now and at the moment things look ok, we need to know. If the BF just kicked you in the abdomen and no bruises show yet or you just did a line of coke and we send you home the after effects of those activities may not show until much later and it might be too late. OB triage is f**king scary cuz like Dr. House would say, everybody lies and those lies can cost people their lives, course if we don't magically make things better without knowing the full story, we are incompetent a*****es

yep and thats cuz those other a*****es are wasting people's time. People can't use the ER correctly, so legit patients suffer

This chick got pictures to keep both times she did it. (I'm in Aus so maybe it's different here). I told her she should have just got one done privately they are only $100 or so and she had the money. She told me to do it when I was pregnant too but I couldn't lie like that, if I wanted another that badly I would have got it done privately. The ER is already packed enough without people that don't need to be in there.

It's $400 for an optional ultrasound here.
