My daughter will be starting school soon and I've never had to pack lunches before. What do you pack that stays good for the couple hrs until they eat?

Invest in one of those little cooler packs so you'll have more variety. It helps a lot. My kids love PB&J with carrots, grapes or apples and yogurt. Sometimes I throw some pretzels in for a snack between lunch and the time they come home.

My son is starting and will get home packed lunchables. Sunbutter sandwiches. Homemade pudding. Apple sauce. Snacks like goldfish and pretzels. Sliced fruit and maybe on Fridays a mini candy bar

For kindergarten my DD got the same thing every week (her choice):
PB&J, a meat and cheese sandwich, chicken nuggets, quesadilla, and one lunchable she got to pick while grocey shoppine. Then she would choose from one of 3 dessert items: a mini candy bar, 2 oreos, a jello/pudding. For a side with her main was one of four items: pretzels, goldfish, a frozen go-gurt (they always thawed out right about lunch time), or a piece of fruit. A granola bar for snack. And a juice box in her lunch along with her water bottle she carried.
