Okay this is probably tmi so sorry. I have been constipated for weeks now. I have a tilted uterus and idk if that has anything to do with this or not but My poop has been weird and there is like this discharge looking stuff in in it. today I was able to poop twice and the second time that discharge stuff looked like it has blood it in it. this bright red color and it was just floating in the water. i wiped and there wasnt blood on the toilet paper. Should I be concerned and go to the ER? :-/ Ill be 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow

Blood is normal when you strain to poop.

Bright red blood is normal cause it is probably from the startings of hemorroids. You said that you have been constipated but try not to strain while going to the bathroom it's not really a good thing to do. Don't be shocked if you ever see mucus in your stool either after awhile of no pooping cause it's just your intestines working over time is all. Mention any changes though no matter how big or small to your doctor while you're pregnant it's always better to be safe then sorry.

Also, you can take a stool softener (colace) while pregnant. I was high risk and constipation didn't mix well with my issues. I was on colace pretty much from the time I got pregnant until the time I delivered. It's not a laxative. It works differently. It will help your poop be softer and it will make it easier to go.

They actually have prenatals with stool softener added. I thought that was pretty cool. Expensive though .. I just ended up doing them separately. At one point i went to the local bulk store and bought 2 huge bottles... :D Ahh the miracle of birth .....
