Really considering a water birth with our next baby. Pros... Cons.. Stories?? Really would love some feedback! :D
That's the kind of birth I want. I heard the water helps with the contraction
That's what I've heard as well. Im worried about it being a bit gross..
I hope not!!! I just think the baby would benefit from being born into something its used to and is closer in temperature!
It'd be nice to labor in something comforting and soothing. I looooved baths with my last baby.. It was so much easier to relax!
Do you think it'd be gross though?? And safe??

I have had three water births and loved them all! ( my fourth came to quick I couldn't get in the tub even though it was full ) water births done right are compleatly safe . The main thing to remember is that the baby won't take there first breath till it comes out of the water . Also if your provider starts to see any indication of stress on the baby they'll have you get out so they can monitor the situation and be able to quickly get to the baby . Most likely you wouldn't run into any issues . The water for me really helped take the edge off the contractions and helped me to relax in between the contractions . I loved my water births and highly reccomend them !,
Thats very helpful. I have been waantig to do a water birth but the hospital doesn't do waterbirths so this time I am doing it at the birthing suite at my midwives.
