My 8 year old loves anything to do with music and about 6 months ago we visited family in Ohio and they had a guitar ever since then she has wanted one. My husband and I are thinking of getting her one but I don't know if she would be to young. We are thinking of one from a music store instead of the ones they sell in stores. Thank you in advance. What do you think do you think she would be to young?
She is definitely not too young. If she wants one I think it would be a great gift.
my dd has one from walmart. its princess and kid sized. about 30$
She is the perfect age if you ask me. Guitar lessons would be a great accompanying present :)
I don't think she's too young. SO and I got Noah a guitar for Christmas, he was almost two. Now he's two and a half and SO is teaching him to play. He loves it! It's his favorite thing in the world and he has like ten different picks for it, he sits with his daddy and plays guitar all the time. :)
got my son one from GoodWill and he's 6. It's not in the best shape but it's a good way to let him get a good feel for it. He loves playing it and I dont mind him wagging it around considering it was inexpensive.
If your going to get your child one, Id suggest starting with a kid's sized acoustic. Don't go expensive either because she may loose interest in it quickly.
Thank you so much everyone we have a music store where we live and they have a cute pink one I think I will go pick it up. I love the idea of adding guitar lessons to go with it. I can't wait to see her face.
My sister got a little pink guitar (a real guitar.. not just a cheap one) for her fifth birthday and she absolutely loves it. :)
I think it's great. But I may be a little biased since my dd has a full size drum set. And were picking up a piano from SOs grandma next weekend. Yeah we kinda like music.
I think it's a great gift. My son has been playing the piano and drums for over a year (he will be 6 in Oct). They learn so fast at this age.
