I was just thinking about how much I miss dd. She spent friday night over her dad's. Then Saturday at my sister's. And she is spending tonight at my mom's. And I miss her. She is such a good little helper. Always asking if she can help. Playing with her brothers and keepimg thwm out of trouble while I clean. She is the best little girl. School starts on the 12th. And I have no idea how I am going to get through 8 hours a day wiyh out her. Plus with visitation with her dad every weekend I'm hardly ever going to see her. It make me sad. I feel screwed over. I get to take care od her but I never get to spend time with her anymore. And it is jusy going to be worse when school starts. Ladies enjoy your kids. In no time at all you won't be able to enjoy thwm like you can when they are little.

Why did you agree to every weekend?

That's the usual/default visitation agreement ordered by the courts here in Texas

Every weekend? That seems a little crazy to me.

Here standard visitation is one overnight per week (from Monday to Sunday) plus every other weekend and split holidays.

I guess most of you don't have bd that are involved but you aren't with. It is a fuckes up system but there isn't much you can do about it. They get to pay barely anything in child support and actually spend quality time with the kid. While the mom gets to pay for eveeything child support doesn't cover including seasonal cost like getting them in school. And take them to the doctor, hepp with school work, and bath and feed them but never get any quality time.

It sucks, but it's more than fair...I'm sure her dad wants to spend just as much time with his daughter....he's probably thinking it's not fair on his end.

I had joint physical custody, then a standard visitation order with my ex.

I understand that he wants to spend more time with his kids and I totally get that, but we were told by the judge up here that it was important for both parents to have at least one weekend a month with the child(ren) in order for them to foster relationships with extended family.

Oops, I misread, I thought the OP said every other weekend. The agreement you're talking about is standard for here, too.

Every weekend EVERY WEEKEND he takes her to do something fun
The beach. Skating rink. Movie. Ect. And is probably 5 grand behind in child support at this point. While I'm struggling to get uniforms and svhool supplies for her. Yeah that is fair. I can't remember the last time I did something fun with just her. Who can afforsld it when your the one actually raising the kid.
