How tall was/is your 11 month old? My DD will be 1 on the 22nd and she's only 26 1/2in tall which according to the percentile thing, meens shes in the 5th percentile. she wasn't always super short but seems like she stopped growing, she was 26 inches at 7mo. Is this something I should be concerned about?

She is only 1/2 inch taller then my friends 3mo old

DS just turned 1 on the 27th. He was 31in at his 1 year check up but taller than most of my friends 1-1.5 yr olds. I wouldn't worry too much if the doctor isnt concerned. Some kids are just short.

yea but the doctor hasn't seen her for a few months so he doesn't know she stopped growing lol, I didn't even realize it until i measured her and looked back in her baby book.. she's shorter then everyone her age and my friends kids who r younger then her. shes wears 3-6mo pants. Do you think this means shes going to be really short when she gets older?

yea were not that short so I can't imagine her being less then 5'4 but its not the height so much its how she only grew less the 1/2 in in over 4 months. she was in the 25-50 for height

Make an appt if you are that worried. DD barely gained weight or grew from the time she was 6 months to a yr. After 13 months she got taller and slowed down again.

okay so its kinda normal then, right? I'm just wanting to hear its normal and she doesn't have any kinda of growth issue. I figure I better ask people on here before I make a doc appointment for no reason :)

For DD it was I would wait until her 12 month appointment kids slow down in growth and speed up.

If you are concerned for your daughter, make the appointment. It is always better to be safe than sorry. I am certain you would much rather hear that she is fine and don't worry, than she has a pituitary issue and you didn't bring her in to see the doctor.
