When I saw this topic, I thought it was a misspelling for the birth control method Essure.

I don't like it.

I guess. In my opinion I could handle a heap of straight out "don't like it" because like you said, it's our baby... But the overwhelming response of "you've spelt it wrong" immediately frustrated me! I am hormonal and exhausted at the moment so it's obviously heightened but I'd rather not be frustrated about my son's name (or more specifically the confusion over spelling) for the rest of my life.
Not scratched just feel like I've been taken down a peg.

Hormonal women shouldnt ask for advice. Silly mistake kye.

Yeah I understand. It's tough to pick out a baby name. I completely understand what you mean. Maybe you will find another name you love?

That's what I thought when I saw the topic. That would be an epic pain to always be correcting.

Sorry op I didn't realise they were different names. I agree that if the meaning of ashur is the one you want go for it. However the majority of people will probably think you misspelt it same as most off us in this thread and you will find yourself explaining it. It's not to bad though , I always find myself explaining that I did not create my daughters name and that it is a legit name
