I have a box to make pasta salad and it says to use vinegar. I have distilled white vinegar or apple cider vinegar .... The distilled white vinegar has a picture of veggies on it so that should work, right? Lol. And, I've only ever had pasta salad cold, should I make it now and put it in thefridge or eat it warm?
Either or will be fine, personally I prefer the cider.
I also prefer cold pasta salad - right after you cook the pasta and drain it, try putting a cup full of ice over it and run cold water over it, toss it around a bit (ideally the ice will melt, if you have too much you may need to pick some out before you waterlog your pasta trying to cool it).
That's just a quick chill method I use in instances where I don't have a lot of time. After pasta is cooled, toss it with a little oil so it doesn't stick later.
