I don't know if it's unpopular, but someone on FB posted this quote that basically said that once you're a mom your life is over and if you didn't think so then you're a bad parent.

And I was like...sorry, but...I'm still me, being a mother is part of who I am, but it's not all of me. I'm still a wife, a woman, a human. I will have fun, I will do things for myself and I refuse to let anyone make me feel bad about it.

Sure. Firstly I'll admit it's a wholly biased opinion based on my experiences but in the case of severe fetal/ infant distress I am against recussitation due to the severity of disabilities most of these children end up with. I have a brother with cp (and other disabilities) who I love dearly. He was recusitated at birth (was technically dead for several minutes). I've seen him struggle for years with it, he says all the time how he wishes the nurses had not brought him back to life, that living like this is hell. So as I said, it's biased and personal. It's not about someone's right to live but rather about their quality of life.

I'm thinking and all I can really come up with is that I have an unpopular opinion when it comes to CPS/getting your kids taken away. I think once they remove them from your home, you're done...you lost the chance to parent and this "straighten up and you get your kid back" isn't fair to the kid to be sent back and forth back and forth until their parents decide what's important.

I actually agree with this. I think the majority of people don't realize how inefficient (for lack of a better word) CPR is. As in, how many people actually "come back" and/or come back healthy. The stats are low.

I'm pro-circ. Not just that I circumcised my son and would circumcise my other male children if I had more.. I actually believe male children should be circumcised. Not that I'm going to fly off the handle at someone if they believe differently or anything, but that's my opinion.
