When you go is there a set amount of items you try to make sure your kid has? My son has a closet full of nice clothes he can still fit in but I want to get him clothes and celebrate going back to school.

So is there a set number of like pants, shirts etc you try to have?

LO had a ton of clothes that she had hardly wore so I just bought her a pair of jeans and 2 shirts. Then got her hair cut.

If my kid had nice clothes I wouldn't be buying any clothes for her. She probably wont get new clothes next year because she has so many really nice things that would be super cute. Right now pretty much everything she has is more like play clothes.

We bought DS and DD 5 pants and 5 shirts and a few shorts. They already have a bunch of clothes that fit them but I wanted them to have one new outfit for everyday of the week. We will be buying them more when it starts to get cold(long sleeves and sweaters).

since we dont have a washer/dryer i like to have enough to last 3 weeks just because i dont want to have to constantly rely on going to my parents house to do laundry. although i think he has way more than that... i tend to go overboard with clothes for him

I'm not buying anything. I just went through his drawers & he has 30+ T-shirts, 12 jeans, 10 long sleeve T's & 20+ Jammie's. I was shocked at how much he has, but we get tons of really nice hand me downs & my mom loves to buy them clothes. She just bought him 3 new jeans right before school let out in the size he has just grown into.

I got Heathen 2 dresses 1 skirt and 4 pairs of pants. She had a lot from last year that she still fit. I buy enough so I know she has a variety

We did outlets and children's place back to school sale. Got a ton of clothes for under 300 (for all 3 kids) then I also got them a few nicer dresses from tea, and each a pair of wool leggings for winter. We don't do sweat/track outfits they're against our dress code
