Quoting Nicola.:" :D:D So awesome. DS was in the NICU for a week because his lungs weren't ready. No one was able to ... [snip!] ... just snuggle. Every time we did skin to skin, the next time I came down his oxygen levels were up! Skin to skin is amazing."

So far I'm the only one who has held him but I think James is about ready too lol. He's been too scared.

And yeah, his levels looked great the whole time we were snuggling! I love it!

Quoting Juggernog-aholic:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Two Princesses:</b>" Aww he's adorable congrats! Hope he gets ... [snip!] ... And I'm not leaving. I live 3 hours away from this hospital so I'm going to be camped out in his room until he leaves lol"

I had mine out 18 hours after delivery both times, so it sounds like your delivery was a little bit more complicated. I'm glad you're medically ok enough to leave, even though you are staying for your son.
Hoping he is ready to go home before his due date.

Yeah, I had damage to my bladder from the increta so they wanted me to keep the foley in for at least 7 days. I can't wait to get it out.

And thank you. The doctor seems to think the only thing that will possibly keep him here this long is learning how to eat. He keeps having quite a bit of residual milk after his feedings especially when they bump up his intake.
