Wondering if I should be worried? Krysthegreat 33 kids; Skowhegan, Maine 30 posts

My 1 year old has had an off/on again fever. Never over 100. But I figured he might be teething.. I haven't felt anything in his mouth though. He also hasn't been eating. He will only take a couple bites of whatever I give him and then throw the rest on the floor. And tonight I think he's got a cough too. Should I be worried and call the doctor in the morning? Or wait for his check up next week? He acts pretty fine for the most part, besides being a little extra whiney...

Unless dd becomes lethargic, doesn't want to take in liquids/cant keep liquids down, fever reaches 104, etc. I wait it out. A very low grade fever and a cough doesn't sound alarming.

Is he slobbering more than usual?

I ive about an hour from you and my 9 month is doing the same thing right now. I dont know if something is going around or if his cough is from allergies or what.

Your body naturally goes between 97-100 daily....

So I wouldn't consider anything under 100 a fever.

I don't really notice more slobbering. I'm wondering if it could be another growth spurt or something?

100 isn't anything to worry about, really. He might just have a little cold. I know I eat less when I don't feel well.

Even if he spikes a fever, you don't have to worry about it unless you can't keep it down with medicine OR he becomes lethargic.
