Buying clothes! .Jezebel. 1 child; Sumter, South Carolina 9527 posts

So, my DS is 1 and he currently wears 18 months in clothing. I went shopping yesterday for some winter clothes and I bought 24 months in long sleeve shirts and 18-24 months in jeans. Now I'm second guessing myself and I'm not sure how much he'll grow by the end of the year (that's when it gets cold here) as he only gained 3 lbs in the last 3 months but he did grow 4-5 inches.

I left all the tags on and saved my receipts just in case.

So, how much did your LO's grow from 12 months to 18 months?

24 months will probably be what fits! The shirts will shrink once they are washed and the jeans are probably going to be perfect! DS just moved up to 18 months (he's 17 months and 22 lbs) but I got his winter clothes mostly in 24 months!

Yay! Thanks. I hate buying clothes before they are needed. You never know how fast they'll grow but we can't really afford to buy them all at once. KWIM?

Oh I so understand! I wish they made baby belts! It would fix the problem! My DS is so tiny wasted that 12 months are too short and 18 months are too big in the waist!

Haha! My issue is they fit good in the waist but are too long. Some shorts look like capris on him.

My son probably grew quite a bit. DD didn't really grow at all, other than maybe a little in height

I'm with you! DS is already in his 24month clothes. But I'm scared he will be grow like a weed lol. But Think about it this way. At least you could use it for fall! Fall could be pretty chilly this year.

It usually stays pretty warm here until end of the year beginning of next year. I mean warm enough to wear flip flops. Lol

Idk why I'm stressing about it. I can take them back if I need to. Lol
