I have had pelvic pain since I started my cycle at the age of 11 (I'm 27 now) and it's gotten much worse over the years. As of today, I've had 3 children and have severe pelvic pain EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. There is not a day that goes by where I do not have some form of this pain. Today is so bad, I'm sitting here crying and have nothing for the pain. Tylenol does nothing for me, I'm seriously sensitive to all NSAIDS and the only thing my doc will give me is Ultram (Tramadol), which lasts me about a week.

I thought I had an appt. scheduled today for 2pm, but I must have misheard them because their office closed at noon. I know I need a laparoscopy to get a definitive diagnosis, but I'm almost 100% sure I have endometriosis, and a severe case of it at that.

I apologize if this is TMI, but it's gotten to the point where I hardly have sex with my husband because it hurts during sex. It also hurts after I've used the bathroom.

Please give me your input on this if you've had experience with this and what you did/are doing for relief. The only meds that help are narcotics and I have not found a doctor that is actually willing to prescribe them to me. I hurt so bad right now and just want to feel better. :(

First of all sorry you are in so much pain. I have had two laps done for endometriosis. I feel 100% better afterwards.
Do you have very heavy periods?
You said it hurts during and after sex?
Does it hurt while using the washroom?
Are your cycles irregular at all?

It sounds like your symptoms are very similar to mine. I hope they can get you in soon.

I use to throw up from the pain. I would take a hot bath take some medication and lie in bed with a heat pad.

I feel like I could throw up at any second from this pain.

I do not have irregular periods, but then again, I'm on birth control. They last for about 4-5 days and are normal flow.

It hurts like hell after I've just emptied my bladder or had a BM. That's a new symptom that started a few weeks ago and seems to be getting worse. I took 1000mg Tylenol about an hr ago and it is not helping one bit. :(

I would be going into the ER but it doesn't cost me anything. I'm sorry it's so painful and nothing is helping.
Is the pain in your whole abdomen or situated to one side?

it's my whole pelvic region. I have my son's bday party this weekend and don't want to miss it due to being cooped up in the hospital, you know?

Not saying its not best to be on BC while having endometriosis, but that was the extended "cure" for it. My GYN wanted me to prevent menses as much as possible.

I had a lap last August, and it spread and attached to the outside of my intestines and bowel. I also have IBS. Its like being constipated with diarrhea. Its horrible. I passed SO much tissue every month, that it honestly looked like I was having a miscarriage EVERY month.

Pain meds never did anything for me, and I am with you, NSAIDS were the only "cure", but since I have stomach issues, I had to outweigh the bad for the good.

Even with endometriosis, EVERY woman is different, we can have similar symptoms, but not identical. Some woman are more sensitive to pain the others, while one woman could have whats called the worse case (spreading to internal organs), and feel little to no pain, a woman with one generalized location in her uterus could be in labor pain.

The treatment was laser, but it grows back, as its designed to. The final cure is a hysterectomy, however, if it has spread (like mine), you can still have pain/symptoms.

My sister had it, and had to have surgery. I might have it. I don't know.

I've had it for years. It's not as bad now as it used to be thank god. I had constant pelvic pain too, I was in hospital once for 3 weeks with it while they figured out what to do with it. They found it during my appendectomy. My abdominal cavity was full of blood, I had been bleeding backwards during periods and never knew, coz I still bled out as normal too. Sorry for the tmi! They call it Retrograde Menstruation. They found adhesions attached to my bowels and Fallopian tubes. They suctioned the blood and burned off the adhesions while removing my appendix and that helped a bit for a while. At the time I had to run 2 packs of the pill together without a break so I only got periods every 2 months. I also took Mefac and Ponstan I did that for a year maybe more. Had one more surgery to remove more adhesions and a cyst from my left ovary. Finally they took another look and nothing...no adhesions or blood, it seems to have stopped. I have no idea if anything actually worked or if it just calmed down anyway. They were gona try a D&C to see if my periods were any better afterwards, they didnt bother after that. Now my periods are still heavy and horribly painful even while on BC but nowhere near as bad. I really hope something can be done for you hon, it's a horrible thing to deal with! In my case my doc thinks having a baby cured me for now, but I'm sceptical about that. My mother had 4 kids and hers was severe.

I also used birth control as a means to control it and it helped but the birth control was hard on me. It did not like me

I found mine got better after having kids. But I still get the odd horrible period. They check mine every section I have.
