Anybody's baby born like this? Amanda.W.P 2 kids; Fort Pierce, Florida 1115 posts

So I posted earlier about my delivery and how my baby is in NICU because her lungs have fluid in them and she can't eat without a tube because her breathing is too fast. She also was breech butt first with her ankle by her ears and now her knees bend backwards because of her being in that position (at least they think that's what caused it) I'm taking her to see a specialist on the 26th. Anyways I was wondering if anyone on here had a baby and had the same problem. Her knees just bend backwards and the pediatrician said that the specialist will probably just cast her legs until they go back to normal and worst case scenario she might have to have surgery. I'm already worried about her breathing and her not being able to eat normally I don't want to worry about surgery I don't think my heart can take anymore of my baby girl hurting. (They told me her legs don't hurt and I'm sure they don't but her legs aren't okay either so I just feel it hurts but not physically if that makes sense) if anyone has had a baby with the same problem how did they fix it? Did it take long? How is your baby/child now? Do their legs function okay? I tried googling it and couldn't find anything

I've actually never heard anything like that. But, I hope everything turns out okay and she heals quickly and congratulations on your baby.

My cousin's daughter was breech and there was something wrong with her legs that they had to cast them and put her in leg braces for 2 years. She is now a happy healthy 12 year old girl that does dance, plays baseball, and other sports. As for the fluid in her lungs that is because of the c-section :( sorry your going through this. I hope everything turns out okay. I wish I knew more about what was wrong with my cousin's daughter but I think it had to do with her hips not her knees.
