Ok so. For the past 2 days my 22mo old has been telling me (for the most part) when he has to go to the potty. Even if it's a tiny drip of pee we'll do 'the potty song', clap, and he'll get a treat afterwards for being such a big boy.
Do you think that letting him be naked around the house might help further this? I've been told that is a sure way to get a toddler potty trained. I just hate cleaning up pee on my floor lol. That and every time he poops he'll either tell me a second too late or right as he's already going... I don't wanna clean up poop off my floor. OR should I just keep doing what we're doing??
Any advice on toddler BOY potty training?
I heard that potty training girls are soooo much easier LOL.
I think that's too early personally but yeah, if you go naked yor gonna have to clean up smurf so idk what your question is

He's the one that's been wanting to go lol. We got him a little potty a few months ago (the ones that sit on the floor) and he wasn't interested at all (I'm a first time mom, I had no idea when is too early or the perfect time to start lol). But he has been asking for the 'big potty' the past few days so I've been obviously letting him do his thing :)
...I wanted advice on toddler boy potty training lol.
My mom had all of us, including her 2 boys potty trained by 2 years. Buy him undies to run around in. It will contain the poop so you don't really have to clean up too much off the floor and as for pee, the moment you catch him pick up up and run to the potty. My mom says say something like "uh oh, you had an accident" but don't shame him or make him feel bad. Also have him help you Clean up his messes.

OH that's a great idea!! He's cloth diapered so at least the feeling won't be too off from those to underwear :) Thank you Rebekah!

No problem! My 17 month old has been doing the same thing, we tried undies For a few days but he's just not quite ready! But that's what my mom has advised me to do and I'm sure it would work!
I did the same thing with the underwear. Mine is almost 3 and totally potty trained. Pooping on the potty is usually the hardest and good luck when he decides he wants to stand up like daddy. Disinfecting wipes are great for that.
My son is 22 months old also and he always points and tells me "poo poo" and I have been thinking about trying to potty train him! He has a little potty at his grandparent's house but he honestly doesn't identify it as a potty. He puts it on his head and walks around with it as a hat. I might try and get the little cover like you have!
I was so happy when my 22 month old decided to use the potty, to bad for me it lasted a week and know he wont go near the potty. but it worked better for him in underwear, when i tried letting him go naked he just peed and pooped on the floor.
