2 weeks ago I took my daughter (23 months) to the hospital for an infection on her leg. She had had it before on her face when she was an infant but this time it was spreading extremely fast and she had no skin left on some parts of her leg. She was diagnosed with Impetigo (she had little blistery looking rashes all over her body) and given a bunch of medication to take care of it and her leg was covered with bandages. The doctor on call mentioned admitting her if we couldnt control her leg issue. 4 days later her leg was way better so we didnt have to go back in. Now its been a while but she continues to have some spots of blistery rashes all over her body and is still itchy. Does anyone know how long it takes to disappear? Should I take her back in? I am not sure how long it should take for it to disappear, when we were at the hospital we focused more on her leg than anything else

Sorry so long, I wanted to add some back story... what would you do?

I'd call her doctor and ask.

i'd take her back in. Skin infections like that can be fatal. She could be looking better but still resisting the meds internally.

When do you have a follow-up appt?
If they didn't mention that I would call and book one in.

I am going to do that... She is all done with the meds but I have still been putting the antibiotic cream on the rash spots. I just don't want it to get worse again
thank you ladies, I really hope this goes away for good soon
