So, DH and I had our meeting with a lawyer yesterday. This guy is f**king AWESOME, he's done more family law than any other lawyer in the county (20+ years). He used to be the probate judge and he got my great aunt and uncle custody of my cousins when their dad died (their mother is ALL kinds of crazy).

We REALLY want to hire him. DH's ex decided that now she's gotta get a lawyer and be a major f**king b***h about this whole thing, when 3 weeks ago she was telling DH how sorry she was that he's missed out on so much of his daughter's life and she wants him to be able to see her as much as he can, blahblahblah.

He costs $3500. We want to request a guardian ad litem. That's another $1500. And there's no way in hell we're coming up with 5 grand on our own, so I'm starting a fundraiser on gofundme to help. But I don't know what to write as a summary or what to title it. Could somebody help me figure out the best way to word it?

I don't know how all lawyers work but when I was going through custody issues with my ex for my oldest daughter, my lawyer let me make payments every month. I owed $3500 and paid $50-$100 a month and then a lump sum when i got a tax return until I got it paid off. Is that an option for you guys?

I'm not sure if he does payment plans. But we'd like to get as much as possible up front.
