Big old meaty blood clot. TMI user banned

Alright so shit's about to get real gross, real fast. You've been warned.

Yesterday as I was having a piss I felt something slip out. I looked in the toilet and there was a tissuey/clotty mass of grossness in the toilet. About an inch or so I'd say. I was like meh..no big deal, it's probably just normal clearing out.

Then just now I was peeing and felt something even bigger slip out. A big old dark red clot, a little over 2" (sorry, I didn't exactly have my measuring tape handy). Seeing it made me real nervous, because it just looked very angry and unfriendly. So I fished it out of the toilet and put it on some toilet paper for closer inspection. A part of it broke off while I was fishing it out. I poked it, it felt really meaty. Like a little steak. It was thick, too, not just long. I snapped a picture of it just in case to show my midwife if people on BG think it's serious. But I'm not going to post the picture unless people REALLY feel they need to see it (idgaf, no shame b***hes).

What do you think?

Edit: I'm 4 days postpartum, derp.

The only thing I can think of since you said meaty is a piece of placenta.

I passed clots like that. At the hospital I was told a softball size clot is what to look out for. I think that's f**king huge for a clot but I say anything bigger than golf ball sized is cause for alarm

Alright, cool. I never really had clots with DD and in the hospital they kept asking if I've passed any clots, which I hadn't. So I didn't know how big is too big. Softball sized..holy shit..got it. :P

Sounds like a part of the placenta is still coming out. Another lady on here had some come out but it wouldn't actually come out of her it was just hanging. If you're concerned call your midwife but I'd just watch for sign of infections any fevers anything out of the ordinary or any major major cramping and massive blood loss.

It is bigger than a golf ball though for sure. But I don't really hurt or anything aside from the normal cramps I've felt.

I had something like that after I had my son...but mine was like a softball size and that bastard fell out on the floor before I could even sit down on the toilet  turns out my uterus wasn't contracting like it should've pp and the blood was just pooling up. I had to take some kind of pills to make me contract.

Yikes! That would've scared the crap out of me. Did you go straight to the hospital or did you call?
I feel like I'm cramping/contracting normally and the bleeding seems normal, not too much, not too little.

That's sounds normal to me. After I had my last baby I passed grapefruit sized clots and they were really worried so they gave me pittocin and shoved some pill in my ass and gave me awful fundal massages it was no fun lol. The said anything over lime size is not normal.

Yeah I called my OB and he told me to come in right away. Then proceeded to give me a very painful examination :x and sent me on my way with a prescription.
