PPd or jus in a funk? user banned

How did you know? All I see is the negative lately. Nothing seems to be good. I stress out and cry everyday over stupid shit like seeing my fat ugly reflection , or when I spilled pumped milk you would of thought my family just died. I cried all night because my SO accidentally called me "big". I cried when i fave my baby formula because I'm a failure at BFing no matter what supplements i take, how much i pump and stuff. I'm so down myself lately. I don't want to be like this. My kids see me being negative and I know I'm the way I am because if my mom. I can't tell if I'm just in funk and being hard in myself or something is really wrong. My PP appt was supposed to be tomorrow but I had to reschedule for next week. I'm Afraid if I bring it up I will just cry and sound stupid for crying over feeling fat and ugly.

Honestly what do you think? PPD? Or just in a funk?

Sounds like ppd to me. Talk to the doctor she will understand. I cried when I told my midwife how I was feeling after dd.

What did they do? Prescribe drugs? I refuse to take pharmaceuticals.

Then really, all you can do is try natural supplements and counseling or therapy.

It sounds like you need to stop being so hard on yourself, get out of the house and get some alone time. You don't sound depressed to me.

And this. It could be as simple as that. I know if I was home all the time with 4 kids I'd get overwhelmed. Everyone needs a break.

I'd still talk to your Dr to rule out PPD.

I think this is part of the problem. I tried to get my only couple friends I have to Han out but everyone is busy and doesn't seem to have the time.

I'd love a f**king break for longer than 10 min shower. I guess I could just go do something alone, go hike or something ...

I also started paleo in hopes being gluten free and processed food free would help me feel better.

Sounds like PPD. I know your totally against RX pills so maybe try something natural? I got my placenta encapsulated by a local dual, I asked her what I could take as a doupe after I run out since I'm raking them to prevent PPD, she said there is a store in nob hill called "the herb store" she told me to go in there and tell them what's going on and they will suggest what herbs are best. Hopefully you can get help! Try not to be so hard on yourself, your a great mom!

sounds like ppd to me. when i went to my after baby check up with Julia the doc asked me how I was doing and that made me burst into tears, she prescribed me zoloft and i've been on it ever since and I'm SOO glad I decided to give it a try I didn't realize how depressed I had been for years til after I started the zoloft
