What do you mamas prefer or recommend. I had a pack and play with my son but it wasn't really a preference I got it as a baby shower gift. Although I loved it at the time because it was a 5 or 4 in one after awhile I hated the bed (?) That you put them to sleepbon. It sunk in and once he got older and I took off the infant part you could feel the parts at the bottom so I stopped putting LO in it.

This go round we decided against a baby shower so we're getting all the big things out of the way one at a time. I'm on the fence about the pros and cons of getting the crib though. What do you mamas think?

We have a crib for when he sleeps upstairs and a playpen for when he naps downstairs. I like having both, that way he can just sleep wherever.

Quoting Chynee:" What do you mamas prefer or recommend. I had a pack and play with my son but it wasn't really a preference ... [snip!] ... out of the way one at a time. I'm on the fence about the pros and cons of getting the crib though. What do you mamas think?"

We used a pack & play with the bassinet attachment until she was 3 months and then switched her into a crib. I loved the pack & play because you don't have to bend over too far, which sucks to do after giving birth - my back killed!
