Not too long ago me and my mother heard a pop, like and electric outlet popping in our rooms. I heard one, she heard two.
Also we had fans on, they both got really low and then started to go higher like being switched up.
We then walked into the living room where we smelled electric, she said she smelled it in the hallway from her room, but i didn't smell it.

Um, I'd get that checked out. I don't know if you rent or own but if you rent write a letter stating what happened and how you fear it could cause an electrical fire. If you own get an electrician to check it out ASAP. Electrical work isn't something you just read about online and do yourself. You need a professional to check everything out, a small spark can cause a serious fire under the right circumstances.

Yeah, my mom said she's gonna try and get one out, but she thinks she found what it was and im not sure if she still plans on callin one.
I know one time the community we live in had an electrician to come replace our electric box and he said the way things were hooked up, this place was just waiting to catch fire.
