Exactly. Ridiculous. Why would you even try that?

The dumb b***h my brother procreated with did this to my nephew. They gave it to her too. My nephew was in no way ADD or ADHD but she got him diagnosed (on the basis that he has an aunt and uncle that have it) and got him on SSI then dumped him off at his great grandmother's and didn't do anything with him while she collected the money. Then when her grandmother died she dumped him on a friend who got tired of him and I ended up with him and after a week I found out he was beating up my puppy so I ditched him back on his mother who sent him to live with an uncle. The worst part is he had a stable home with my brother and she took him away from him and got him barred from getting custody again because he was behind on child support (the child support she convinced a judge to give her while he was in my brother's custody)

Yep its a perfect example of our great country though and how easy it is to work the system. It was reported over 20 times that my nephew wasn't living with her meaning she should have lost his SSI over 20 times but she kept on getting it.

Its sad isn't it. My husband works 2 jobs and I get VA money to go to school (thank you dad for your service to our country) in total it comes out to about $3000 a month and there are months I go without food because we can't afford to make it. The cost of living is so high its ridiculous. It would be easier if DH and I lived together but we aren't in a spot in our marriage right now where that is possible but he doesn't pay rent and we live in such an expensive area that unless you make 6 figures your going to struggle (or if you bought your house 18 years ago like my parents did) Yet when I had no income and DH was working 1 minimum wage job we still got denied for assistance.
