Yup, it happens. Both of my kids have fallen off the bed or the couch. Scares the hell out of you and then you finally realize that your children aren't just going to break. :)

Yup...usually how it works! Babies are a lot tougher than the look! LO fell off the couch (the first time ever around 9 months) a few times, fell off our bed twice, & his toddler bed once (he didn't even wake up for that one!)...oh and I forgot the time he fell down the 3 steps outside at his Grandparents house and scuffed up his face some. Lol

ETA: I really did forget about the time he knocked the wind out of himself...he slipped on the linoleum and fell right on his stomach...that was the scariest cuz he was acting a little weird for a bit after!

First time that happened I freaked and called the doc. They told me unless there's a serious visible injury or the baby is lethargic and there is bahavioral changes, don't worry. Kids fall. It happened and will happen again, and again. Don't worry..

He will be fine :) This happened to my son when he was about the same age and I think it mostly just scared him.

I think that's what it was... He was asleep when he fell so it probably scared him!

Yes! My DS fell off the couch at like 3 months, then a few weeks ago I turned for a second and he rolled off the bed and he fell onto plywood floor, and then well I didn't realize he could sit up and last week he flipped himself out of his carseat and hit the concrete. Just a couple of scratches but he's ok now! Since it wasn't high up and it was carpet he should be ok. As far as if he fell from a higher distance I'd take him just to be safe. But with your situation he should be fine!
