Making a chocolate (devil's food) cake and it is going to be a mud cake (gonna put big trucks crushing cars on it) and I was wondering if y'all think chocolate pudding would taste good with the cake. I was thinking of doing that and mixing it with some of the cake shavings to make the mud more realistic but am not sure... Especially since we are going to decorating with icing on there too but I was thinking of just putting that in sections or something but idk. Just kind of playing with ideas right now. I have to have all of this done by 2 tomorrow so it should be fun. I was just thinking of doing that as something extra but maybe that is to much.. idk.

I would use crumbled up Oreos with pudding for mud. You could also poke random holes throughout the cake & fill them in with pudding

the pudding would be good but might be hard to pile up into piles of mud because of the consistency idk. I did this for my daughter's birthday and used chocolate mint frosting. the consistency was just right. I added oreo crumbs and lots of that candy that is chocolate and looks like rocks (rock candy?) along with some crushed up graham crackers for sand. it was a huge hit and super easy.
