the safety 1st alpha elite

we just had to get logan new carseats because he outgrew the one, its a pain when you dont trust boosters so you spend more on another convertable once they reach the weight limit.

I voted for the myride. But whatever you do don't get the first one. If you google carseats for the littles and the find the review for the alpha omega elite, it tells you why. But basically all it's "features" are good in theory but not so much in reality. We had one and I hated it, we actually bought the myride instead and trashed the other.

ah yeah i didnt google into it when i made my suggestion

but i still stand by getting the one that will be able to be a 5 point harness the longest and also function as a booster.

I voted for the myride. My 19 month old has one and I love it.

My newborn has a snugride infant seat and at tax time we are going to get him a myride as well.

We used the myride for extended rear facing until 2 and some change, then forward faced in it until this past march and then upgraded to a britax frontier (which I LOVE) to harness the longest and then it'll booster when he's ready.

Absolutely HATE Safety 1st! We are normally Graco fans, and when I was prego with my son, my mom got us a safety 1st stroller and car seat bundle and we absolutely hated that car seat. It sat up so high, which is horrible for a newborn and cut off circulation on his legs. Horrible quality! I voted #2, we now have all graco :)

My ride! My daughter is 2 and she's had it since she was 3 months old. We love it.

I really like #2 and #3 ... But if I had to choose I would probably choose #3

:!: I wish I had known the reviews on the Alpha Omega when I bought ours. Once I can afford to replace it, it's being done.

If you can afford it ($159 at Target right now) I'd do the Graco Headwise 70. It has the tallest shell on the market right now which will keep LO rearfacing much longer than a lot of convertible car seats.

Whatever you do, do not go with the Alpha Omega. Difficult to correctly install both forward and rear facing, and makes a deadly booster.

Can I add another suggestion? I first bought the myride but as soon as i took it out of the box knew it would not rear face well in my car as the front seat wouldn't have any leg room. I found a The FirstYears Convertible that i absolutely LOVE. I looked again and came accross this Lamaze one (same brand as The First Years) for you at the same price point. Look at it. The head rest comes off for RF or until needed and gives SOO much extra room to the front seat. I have a Hyundai Tucson small SUV and thought leg room wouldn't be too big of an issue but it was. With the head rest off no issue at all. It has LOTS of convienent features that work well and easy. Just thought i'd give you another option that i know and love and trust:)
