Who decided about wether to circumcise or not?
Im assuming your decision was based on your own research and religious/personal beliefs.
I dont care wether or not your son is circumcised, just curious about who decided.
I am letting my husband decide. We have both done our research for and against, and he is taking my opinions into consideration, but he is making the final decision.
I decoded when I was is single and he decided when we were togther.
I didn't climb on top of myself so it's on both of us to make the decisions when it comes to our child.
I looked at dh and said you have the penis you decide..
He had his thoughts, I did my own research....turns out they were the same decision.
I told my husband he could decide, but I had a pretty good idea what his answer would be.
We decided together last time, but i'm reconsidering the wisdom of that decision... what do you do if you don't agree? :(
Well, my husband is one to go with what he knows. I like to make informed decisions. So amongst becoming pregnant and finding out it was a a boy, I did a bit of research and then I sat him down to watch videos and read up on it. We both decided that DH had issues with his circumcision and it being botched and redone as a kid. We decided it's not needed and it's cosmetic. We left our son intact and read up on things until we could agree evenly on it.

Well, he's the one with the penis so I'd probably take his word for it. If i really disagreed, then I'd show him research as to why.
I asked him his opinion first, because he is the one with a penis. His opinion was the same as mine. Easy choice for us.
It was pretty much a given what our choice would be, we never even discussed it. So I guess we both decided.
We have discussed this topic regarding future boys, and it is both our decision. With that being said, my husband had to have a medically necessary circumcision at 12. He is adamantly for circumcision while I am more against, but not aggressively so. I think I would let him make the ultimate decision as he has life experience.
Oh just to add my ex wanted my son circed bc he wasn't and always wished he was, I believe due to teasing. Well, they botched my sons circ and he had to have a specialist come in from out of state, needless to say here regretted circing him
What/how is a circumcision botched? I've seen a lot of people say it here and in other threads. What goes wrong, exactly?
