When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had a girl name and a boy name picked out I told my friend the name and she named her adoptive son my exact name I told her. When I confronted her, she said I never told her , she came up with the name, which is BS. Now that I am having a boy I really want my name back, I am not worried of conflict with her, but of how it will look with our mutual friends. I searched day and night trying to find that name, and I am stuck on it, I loved it then, and I love it now.
Use it then. :)
f**k other people. Name your kid what you like and forget the rest!!
I'd still use it anyway. f**k that beezy. ;)
Lol. You don't get to claim a name. What is it? I will name my next born child the same name.
Use it. Who cares?
Go punch her in her face!
I'd still use the name. Who cares what everyone else thinks, it's your child and you know deep inside that you thought of it first.
If you like it, use it.
If its a huge deal, pick another one.
She had a boy first so she got first pick.
You can't "claim" a name. Who cares?
If you made the name up , you are lame and so is she, poor children.
If its a legit name, well then you don't own it.
What is the name? I'm very curious now. Are there any names that are similar but not exactly the same?
That really blows though. I guess for me it would depend on how often we hang out and if I see our friendship lasting a while. I would probably be inclined to change my baby name.
No one owns names for goodness sakes. Get over yourself for one. It wasn't "your" name. Few names are totally unique, and even if they are, it really isn't a big deal. If you like it, use it.
You can't "steal" a name, if you love it, use it. :)
Do you own rights to that name? No? Didn't think so. Just name your kid what you want, who cares.
